Vision Tips & Tricks – Part 7 – Cross Info Center Searches

I know what you are probably thinking … “How many tips did he share in his Insight session?”  The answer, tons and I could probably post every day for a week and not get to all of them, but I still wanted to share some key ones.

Ever wanted to search across Info Centers (like Project and Employees.)  The setting to allow cross info center searches is located within Role Security in the lower right corner of the general tab. Once enabled, you can create a robust search such as the one below. In the provided example, I am searching for active employees that are associated with the Atlantic Research Corporation. The search results will show me all of the active employees that have worked on, or been assigned to projects for this client. This is especially helpful if I am preparing a proposal and I want to find the right people to include in the proposal.
